How Your Funded Proposal Works
I look at a sales process like developing a relationship – as should you.
And like any relationship, it’s give-and-take and it’s going to take time to foster. You can’t expect the other party to invest their entire trust and loyalty in you in one gigantic step.
You want to make it easy for them. You want to earn their trust and loyalty one step at a time. Here's how you do it:
Step 1: Create the Traffic
This relationship starts via your advertising. There is interest, but not trust. They follow your ad with a skeptical, but hopeful eye.
Step 2: Get Contact Info & Provide Value
When that traffic arrives on your capture page; your potential clients give you their information in exchange for your free valuable insights and information in the form of newsletters. Your newsletters should be of high value and quality.

Step 3: The Initial Payout & Recoup Marketing Costs
The next step is the introduction of the “front-end” product.
Before your potential clients are going to put down big $$$$$ for your product or service, they might feel more comfortable putting down a little $ for a smaller, less expensive product (think of it as giving YOU and your expertise a test-drive).
Your 'front-end' retail product will cover your marketing costs & produce a nice little profit.
Step 4: The Back-end -Your Primary Business
Then if they deem the 'front-end' product to be of high value (far above what they paid), it gives your pricier product or service instant credibility. They will expect that you will over deliver again. So the likelyhood of them purchasing the big payout 'back-end' product goes up.
This entire process: traffic generation, the capture page, the newsletter, and this upfront product, is geared towards building rapport between you and your client as well as your reputation.
Why Most Businesses Fail
The main problem is… many businesses either have no understanding of this concept or end up wasting loads of money trying to “build up their rep”… to the point of bankruptcy! You must market your front-end product in such a way that it becomes a no-brainer to purchase. It needs to be low-risk and a low-commitment purchase for the buyer.
This front-end product must be relatively low cost, be of extremely high value, and, just like your newsletters, must over-deliver.
Remember, your customers will be judging you and your 'back-end' product/services based on the 'front-end' product. Your credibility is on the line.
This self-funded proposal is what’s missing from most businesses who eat away at their profits through unsuccessful advertising.
When your prospects pay for your marketing, regardless of whether they buy your primary product or service, you’re always ahead.
